Sunday is Mynday

And On The Seventh Day He Rested

I've always had some questions about the creation account as written in the Old Testament particularly when it comes to the Sabbath and the length of the entire event.  Christians observe their Sabbath (or day of rest) on Sundays and Jews have the "Shabbat" on Saturdays.  I did some quick reading about why their on different days after an internet search and I don't care WHY one picked one day and the other, another.  My question is:  Do Jews start their week on Sundays?  In other words, "In the beginning, God created the earth and the heaven. and from when God spoke day light into being until their was darkness of night, that was one day.  The first day,  By day seven God's resting and proud and amazed and all that, as One should and would be.  So does that mean since man and woman were built on day 6, that we are living now in day 6 and the day of rest is prophesy?  Or does it mean that we are in the day of rest and the entire creation will end at midnight, and that God will have to start the entire act of creative genius from scratch?  I don't think it means any of them.  Or it does.  I don't think I care anymore, actually.  God bless.
